beauty amidst poverty

This is not my own photo, but TAPE ART. I just though it is relevant...

There is a rundown building in Ferndale with the white paint chipping off, and pieces off the wall broken out.

But, it has the most exquisite carved wooden door, still in tact, standing strong.

The door looks completely out of place, but that is what it makes it even more breathtaking.
